Silent Death
Single mothers trapped in shame, feeling there is no way out
Others with ambitions, of this I have no doubt
Children in need of mercy as death stiffles their cry
Never a chance to breath in life - in our silence many die.
As Christians, I do not believe we can afford to be silent on the issue of abortion.
Proverbs 31:8-9 says,
Speak up for those who can't speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who need an advocate.
Speak up, judge righteously, defend the cause of the poor and needy (unwanted).
Not only are we not speaking up enough on the issue, but 1 out of 5 of the women who have abortions are professing Evangelical Christians according to a recent article noting a study performed by the the Alan Guttmacher Institute. How incredibly grieving to the heart of God! Two hundred thousand Christian women had abortions last year.
