The Giver of Life

You are the giver of life.     Your light lets us enjoy life.

(Psalm 36:9)

The Living One

Don’t you hear Him?  He is in the sound,

of life unfolding as it abounds.

He is in the whisper of a child in their parent’s ear,

Asking to play with them as they draw near.

He is in the wisdom of bright fall-colored leaves,

And the glistening of water as it dances into the sea.

He is in the warmth of love’s firm grip, and in the delight as joy and laughing roll off one’s lips.

He is in the testimony of the one from prison,

Having a new life under the One who is risen.

He is in the marriage that was restored

and in the purpose found by youth who thought they were bored.

He is in your thoughts as you reach out to be kind,

And in your mercy when you refuse to leave someone behind.

He is in the shelter over you in the storm,

He was watching you as you were formed.

He is with you every day, shaping, forming, and making your way.

He goes behind you to clear your mistakes,

In His love, you He never forsakes.

Yet You Are Rich!

These are the words of the Son of God,

Whose eyes are like blazing fire and feet like burnished bronze.

I know your deeds, your love and faith,

Your service and perseverance as you run the race.

I know that you are doing more than ever before,

And I will not leave you in want for more.

Know that I am He who searches hearts and minds,

And I will repay each according to what I find.

I will not impose any other burden on you,

Hold on to what you have for I am coming for you.

I am the One who is Faithful and True,

On all My promises, I will come through.

To the one who is victorious doing my will to the end,

I will give authority over the nations, as you I will send.

With an iron scepter, you will break down strongholds,

Rising up like the morning star, as my beauty you behold.

Who Was, And Is, And Is to Come

To the One who is filled with love, The One that has freed us from sin by His blood.

And has made us a kingdom of priests,

To serve Him by looking after the least.

To Him be the power and glory forever,

As our tie to sin, He finally will sever.

And we will look upon the One that we pierced,

Finally seeing His love is so fierce.

To the One who is to come,

It is to Him that I run.

Waiting for His goodness to deliver,

Wrapped in His love flowing like an endless river.

He is the One for whom I wait,

Knowing His promises, He does not forsake.

I watch for the day all His goodness passes by,

And every eye will see Him, and know the reason why.

He is worthy of all our praise!

And He is Lord over the coming days!

Who is He?

These are the words of Him who holds the stars in His hand, The One who walks among the seven lampstands. These are the words of the First and the Last,

The One who has died and now life amassed.

These are the words of Him who has a sharp, double-edge sword.

I know where you live and I am the reward.

These are the words of the Son of God,

Eyes of blazing fire and feet like burnished bronze.

These are the words of Him who holds the seven spirits

The One with a word for you, if you will hear it.

These are the words of Him who is holy and true,

The One with the key of David that can open the door for you.

These are the words of the great Amen,

The faithful and true witness, since time began.

In your struggles, I see your plight,

I am closely with you, in this dark night.

I know your afflictions and your weak strength,

It does not depend upon you to make this last length.

I have seen your trials and know your deeds,

And I have determined to give you the victory.

To those who are faithful and endure, know that I am working, making you pure.

As when I come, I will seat you with Me,

you will rule from my throne for all eternity.

Whoever has ears, let them hear,

what the Spirit says to the churches who in Him fear.

The Giver of Life

I had a dream of August 8th;

a day of joy, as He promised not to be late.

The bells and the joy, ringing in glee,

a time of celebration upon our knees.

He who is Faithful is never wrong,

soon, we will be singing to a new joy filled song.

Nothing is too hard for Him,

as the splendor of His Kingdom is flowing within.

The Giver of Life, flowing in power,

with all that we need for this hour.

Like a river that flows, glistening in the sun,

Our lives flowing along with the Risen One.

Luke 8:8, “Still other seed fell on good soil.  It came up and yielded a crop a hundred times more than was sown.  When He said this, He called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
