Lord, Make Us Your Servants!

"Servants of God do the will of God from the heart, seeking not to please men but to please God. Servants completely give themselves up to God's will and are devoted to God to the disregard of their own interests, completely surrendering their own agendas and ambitions. Their service is used by Christ in extending and advancing His cause among men. Jesus was the perfect Servant. He calls us to live as servants as well --living in such a way as to bring the kingdom of heaven hear to earth. Empowered by the Spirit, working to bring order out of chaos; guard and fight for the sanctitiy of things and people; deliver victims from injustice, misfortune, and wretchedness; grant pardon to the condemned and damed; heal sickness; and by their very presence bring dignity and honor to people and land."
